Welcome to Cox BBQ. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of coxrub.com (the "Site") and any products purchased through it. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms are written in plain language because we'd rather have you understand them than get a law degree to read them. If you have a question, email us.

1. Who we are

Cox BBQ, LLC is a Texas limited liability company. When we say "we," "us," or "Cox BBQ," we mean Cox BBQ, LLC. When we say "you," we mean you — the person using the Site or buying our product.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site to learn about our products, place orders, contact us, sign up for our mailing list, and read our content.

You may NOT:

  • Use the Site for anything illegal.
  • Try to break or interfere with the Site.
  • Scrape or copy our content for commercial use without permission.
  • Pretend to be us, or somebody else.

We may suspend or refuse service if you do any of the above.

3. Orders, payment, and pricing

  • All prices are in U.S. dollars and may change at any time without notice.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, if a product is mispriced, out of stock, or there's a suspected fraud issue. If we cancel your order, you'll get a full refund.
  • Payment is processed through Shopify Payments and other approved processors. We don't store your full payment information on our servers.
  • Sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address.

We ship from Texas. Most orders go out within 1–3 business days.

5. Returns and refunds

Short version: Because Cox Rub is a food product, we don't accept returns of opened bottles. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or wrong, contact us within 30 days and we'll make it right.

6. Product information

We do our best to describe Cox Rub accurately, including ingredients, allergens, and net weight. The information on the bottle label is the authoritative source. If anything on the website differs from the label, the label wins.

Allergen note: Cox Rub is gluten-free and contains MSG. The full ingredient list is on the bottle. If you have a serious food allergy, please read the label carefully before consuming.

7. Mailing list ("Rubbing Club")

When you join the Rubbing Club, you're agreeing to receive occasional emails from us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

We will never sell, rent, or give your email address to anyone. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Cox BBQ name, logo, label artwork, the World Champion Trophy mark, and all content on this Site are owned by Cox BBQ, LLC. You may not use any of it for commercial purposes without written permission.

You may share photos and posts about Cox Rub on social media — please do, and tag us at @coxbbqrub.

9. User-submitted content

If you send us testimonials, photos, recipes, reviews, or other content (via email, social media, or our forms), you give us permission to use that content in our marketing, on the Site, on social media, and on packaging — with attribution where appropriate. You're confirming the content is yours to share.

10. Limitation of liability

Cox Rub is a seasoning. We don't make medical, dietary, or any other claims about it beyond "it's a really good BBQ rub." If you have specific dietary needs, consult your doctor or a registered dietitian, not us.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cox BBQ, LLC's total liability to you for any claim related to the Site or our products is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or your in-laws being disappointed in your cooking.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Site.
